EMDR Intensives:
Focused Healing, Lasting Change

You've done the work.  You've talked about it, made connections, and tried to move forward...And yet, something still feels stuck.

 

EMDR intensives offer a different kind of therapy experience, one that creates the space to go deeper, with focus and intention.  Instead of meeting for one hour a week, intensives provide extended, dedicated time to gently process what hasn't fully resolved.  This allows your brain and nervous system to stay engaged long enough for meaningful shifts to occur.

In the intensive session, we work collaboratively with the experiences that have shaped you, so they no longer feel as present, overwhelming, or stuck in your body.

Intensives can be especially supportive if:

  • You've been in therapy but feel like progress has plateaued.

  • You're carrying unresolved trauma or distressing experiences.

  • You want to move through something specific with more depth and support.

  • Your schedule makes weekly therapy difficult.

What to Expect:

Before Your Intensive: Preparation

We begin with a preparation session where we get clear on your goals, history, and what feels most important to focus on. This is also a time to build grounding tools and ensure you feel resourced and ready. You won't be walking into the intensive cold, we move into the work with intention and care. The preparation phase helps create a strong foundation so you can enter your intensive feeling informed, supported, and ready for meaningful work.

During Your Intensive: Focused, Supported Processing:

Your intensive will take place over several hours (or multiple days), allowing us to stay with what matters without the usual start-and-stop of weekly sessions. We use EMDR (and Somatic and IFS informed approaches) to gently process experiences that feel stuck, moving at a pace that feels manageable for your nervous system. There is space for breaks, reflection, and regulation throughout. You are always in control of the process.

After Your Intensive: Integration and Support

Healing doesn't end when the session does. We'll meet for a follow-up integration session to help you make sense of what shifted, support continued processing, and ensure you feel grounded as you move forward. This step is an important part of helping the work "stick" in a meaningful and lasting way.
